GoldenGate Software Names Patrick Quirk SVP of Worldwide Sales
Leader in Transactional Data Management Fuels Growth Plans and Strengthens Position with Addition of Key Executive
San Francisco, CA - June 18, 2007 - GoldenGate Software Inc., the leading provider of high availability and real-time data integration solutions, today announced that Patrick Quirk has joined the company's management team as senior vice president of worldwide sales. An accomplished sales executive and leader, Quirk has a strong history of rapidly growing sales and building strategic alliances with key industry leaders. Quirk combines more than two decades of sales and management experience in the enterprise software market, with proven expertise in broadening the customer base, while increasing revenue and maximizing profitability.

Most recently, Quirk was executive vice president of worldwide operations at Keynote Systems where he increased international revenues by 50 percent. Prior to joining Keynote Systems, Quirk managed a 500-person sales and business development team at PeopleSoft. During his tenure at PeopleSoft, Quirk led the evaluation and acquisition of JD Edwards for $1.7 billion, the largest software acquisition in ERP and PeopleSoft's history. Previously, Quirk spent time at Aspect Development where he grew the company's revenue from $22 to $89 million within a two-year period and continued to serve as vice president through its acquisition by i2 Technologies. Prior to his time at i2 Technologies, he spent several years as a leading sales manager for various software application companies, including Oracle. Quirk holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he graduated Cum Laude.
