GoldenGate Debuts Professional Certification Program
New Program Enables GoldenGate Customers, Partners and Employees to Become Certified on Leading High Availability and Real-Time Data Integration Solutions
San Francisco, CA - December 18, 2007 - GoldenGate Software Inc., a leading provider of high availability and real-time data integration solutions, today announced a new certification program for GoldenGate customers, channel partners and employees. The certification process assesses the expertise of an IT professional with the GoldenGate® Transactional Data Management (TDM) solution.
"GoldenGate's certification program was designed to offer our customers, partners and employees an opportunity to prove their competency for implementing real-world solutions with GoldenGate," said Glenn Goodrich, education services manager at GoldenGate. "As enterprises increasingly move toward real-time data management, demand for certified IT resources is increasing and the GoldenGate certification program sets a technical standard to identify candidates with this coveted skill set."
The program is comprised of three different levels of certification depending on level of experience and knowledge. The "GoldenGate Associate" level measures fundamental knowledge of GoldenGate high availability and data integration solutions. As candidates progress, they will have the opportunity to achieve "GoldenGate Professional" status and eventually reach the highest level of certification, "GoldenGate Master." Each GoldenGate certification level represents a benchmark achievement that is relevant worldwide, wherever GoldenGate is deployed.
To date, several hands-on users have passed the GoldenGate certification, from some of GoldenGate's leading enterprise customers including Bankart, Dell, DIRECTV, EDS, Huntington, Mayo Clinic, MGM Mirage, National Australia Group and Shazam.
"Becoming certified on GoldenGate solutions has earned me recognition from both the DIRECTV management as well as my colleagues in the industry," said Scott Yamase, a software engineer at DIRECTV. "The certification process, while challenging, has given me increased confidence in my role as a GoldenGate expert."
